Attributes of German Shepherd
Origination and Temperament– German Shepherd are extremely Loyal, Intelligent, Alert and Resilient natured; originated from Germany in the year 1899 developed by Max von Stephanitz; bred mainly for the purpose to be the superior working dogs like herding capacity.
Dogs used for– In modern world , due to their Obedient and Resilient nature. They are proactively used as a companion dog, protection dog in family and many of us must have seen them in military, police training and missions, due to their strong sense of smell and easily trainable factors.
Appearance- They are large Dogs with a wolf like appearance standing at 22-26 inches up till Shoulders. Their build is Muscular and Athletic, ears are pointed up which displays their alertness, with a double coat that is rich, thick outer coat and a soft, smooth under coat.
Dogs colors- German Shepherd come in different colors patterns which is tan, white, grey, red, sable; but tan and black colors are common and prevalent.
